The strand as I have begun to associate it, is a maze of books: confusing but satisfying.
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of stumbling across the Strand. I’ve heard people (on YouTube mostly)mention The Stand but I’ve never had the opportunity/ or thought of going to visit. I was fine with Barnes and Nobles.
Then, I came across these carts of books on sale and I was in awe. So despite my common sense, and fear of having an overweight suitcase later on I looked at the shelves. There were books on sale from $1-$5, how could I not?
I found two books for $1 each: The Five Gates of Hell by Rupert Thompson and The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima. ( Plus I got a bookmark!)
The Five Gates of Hell was published in 1991 and The Warrior Heir published in 2007.From the descriptions , they’re both fantasy books so hopefully I’ll enjoy them.
